I dined at a very nice open air restaurant “Oriental Shinwari” in Malir Cantt Karachi during my visit in June 2019. We were invited to this restaurant by someone residing inside Malir Cantt, which is a cantonment area and a gated residential community.
This post only covers the details about the restaurant and its photographs for information purpose only. The review is based on the food we ate that evening.
Oriental Shinwari has seating arrangement of table with chairs and Takhat (traditional hard bed) with Takaya (Pillows), so you can sit as per your convenience.
It is amazing to see live cooking there, it makes this restaurant different from others in Karachi. It is rare to see live cooking in many restaurants while sitting in open air.
We ordered Kabuli Pulao, Chapli Kabab and Namkeen Rosh with salad and Raita at the restaurant. The food was delicious with a unique shinwari taste.
