Kite flying is one of the famous family activities in Salalah among the tourists and residents alike. As Salalah has lots of open spaces in the beaches and vallies, you can see kids and sometimes adults also flying kites. In khareef season this activity is more visible.
Two types of kites are usually available in almost all the commercial stores selling kites. One of them is colorful rainbow kite, which has red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet colours.
The other one is camoflauge theme kite, and has shape of a plane. This one is famous with boys.
Where to do Kite Flying in Salalah?
Kite flying can be done along the beach, within city at Haffa Beach and Dahariz Beach. Kite flying in Salalah can be done at mountains too. In Khareef season, kites can be seen flying by kids of all ages in Wadi Darbat, Ittin and other mountains.
