Al Hosn Palace Salalah, also written as Al Husn Palace, is a royal palace along the Indian Ocean. This is the palace of Sultan of Oman.

Al Hosn, an Arabic word, which means Fort in English. It is written as الحصن in Arabic.
This gate and the clock tower are the first things you will notice about this palace.
The main gate of the palace is of brown color. There are two elegant lamp posts; one on each side of the gate.
The palace is not open to public and you cannot pass through this main gate. Hence, a photo with the gate to the palace is a must when visiting it.
Al Hosn Palace main gate has National emblem of Oman on both of its sides. The national emblem of Oman (شعار سلطنة عمان) is an insignia that consists of a khanjar inside its sheath, which is superimposed upon two crossed swords. The emblem is in golden color with black background.
There’s a garden overlooking the Palace Main Gate along with the parking area. The garden has coconut trees, which makes Salalah different to the other cities in Oman and Middle East.
